Nye is going to design and build a prototype of a house on his island in the Indian ocean. His tool of choice: Minecraft. He's thinking carefully about the materials which might be suitable for the climate.
Nye chose wood from trees which would typically grow in a tropical climate such as on his island:
We did little school work apart from this today. Nye made my lunch (spaghetti hoops with bread and butter), Nia fed the cat without any help, and both Nye and Nia worked together to put the washing machine on. There was some good co-operation as they played together nicely on the PlayStation.
Nye has recognised that he needs to work harder tomorrow, which is fabulous, and he has some maths sheets ready to start in the morning.
