Day 20 - Friday (week 6 of lockdown)

Today I let Nye choose a theme... Minecraft 😎

Nye helped Nia with some of her maths:

She needed a lot of help but she managed to complete her mosaic using numicon:

Nia's mosaic turned into a pig 🐷

Nye doesn't like colouring so he agreed to mark each square with the right colour, then Mum coloured it in later... we found a tree 🌳

I managed to persuade my reluctant writer to do some handwriting 😀 He chose to write a diary entry from the world of Minecraft:

Nia wrote about Steve, a character in Minecraft:

Nia did some reading while dinner was in the oven. Minecraft themed - chicken and potatoes 😄 (nuggets and roasties!). Nia quite enjoys reading the e-books sent by her teachers:

Nye used this time to do a bit of bridge building:

After lunch we made our own dessert. Chocolate brownies! There was some fabulous co-operation going on - Nye managed to crack the egg open successfully and Nia did some really good mixing:

While the brownies were in the oven, Mum and Nia did some crafting. Nia chose a diamond block and a mini Steve, while Mum made a grass block. Nia struggled a bit with the cutting out but she did an awesome job:

Then the brownies were ready! 

You know it's good when all the photos are blurred 😆

So today has been quite productive. We all had fun but we're ready for the weekend.
We have now officially survived 6 weeks of lockdown and 4 weeks of home schooling 📆📈😷
