While waiting for Mum to finish cutting and sticking work into their books, Nye made an Easter chick by folding and gluing in the right places, and Nia practised her handwriting. She even gave cursive a go.
We watched a powerpoint presentation to teach Nia about Holy Week
Nia then had a task to do - putting the pictures into the correct order to tell the story. She then completed an Easter Story booklet where she wrote about each picture.
Nye's task was about The Last Supper - both the event and the painting by Leonardo da Vinci. He read the story and answered a few questions by analysing the painting.
She also wanted a chick like Nye's, so he helped her to glue it together.
Tuesday lunchtime is always Lego Club - the highlight of Nye's week!
This afternoon Nye has plans to complete a crossword puzzle on 'silent letters' and do some maths work. Nia has some colouring to do, her daily diary, and some maths tasks in her booklet.
Nia is happily working away at the table...
Nye disappeared upstairs with the laptop to do MyMaths away from his sister, then returned after he'd finished so he could play Minecraft. We found an educational section in the Minecraft store and we downloaded a free model of a human eyeball 👀😀 which Nye is now exploring...
Nye is having a lot of fun and learning at the same time. He keeps finding signs with information on, like these he found inside the eye...
Nye found another download after that. He ran around the city of Olympus and explored the temple. We're definitely going to use Minecraft as much as possible in our learning, Nye loves it 😍
I'm going to leave them to have fun. Tomorrow we have work on the Victorians for Nia and more Leonardo da Vinci artwork for Nye.
